How much success accuracy wise are you guys getting from these? What seems to be the most common seating depth?

I came up with - 260 Rem - enough H 4350 for 2900 fps - .110" from the lands and 0.5 MOA first load I tried and tweaking the seating depth paid off.

I threw together a 2900fps RL17 load at 0.015"off for my 22.5" 6.5x47L and it shot 0.5-0.7" at 100yds. I called it good and I hunt it. Works well!

Thanks. I will try mine a little further off the lands. I haven't had much luck from .010 to .050 off.

I know one guy that had success close to the lands but most seem to do well with a big jump. Good luck.

Still finding out myself but treating them like a Berger VLD is the best method I think as either hard on the lands or way off seems like the ticket. It would be nice if 0.015 turns out as the magic number.

Mine shoots great .005 off the lands. Be advised they're soft, they're like the early ballistic tips. Don't expect much penetration or weight retention.

That bullet looks interesting for the Grendel too. The velocity window for proper expansion goes down to 1300fps, I believe. I doubt that the Grendel's top velocity of 2500 or so would cause any trouble with over-expansion up close either.
What fresh Hell is this?

I've got two boxes to try in my .260 Steyr. Thinking that 24"+ barrel may get me to 3K on velocity

LOL I bought two pounds of R-17 for just that reason. They've changed it now but Nosler used to list a load with the 129g LRAB and R-17 that was just over 3K. I've got it printed out somewhere.

H4350 will get you fairly close as well, should RL17 not want to shoot. Might lose 50-70fps to the RL17. My 22" 260 goes in the high 2800's with 45gr of H4350 and the 130gr NAB (R-P cases). Another 2" of barrel and would likely be in the mid 2900's.

Nosler says 44 grains as max and that is what I load in my 24-inch barrel. 3010 fps, according to my chrono.
