Nearly 2 years ago I put on order some .250 savage brass with cabelas...and have never gotten them.

Anyone else the same? I've called several times to no avail...."still on backorder" always the reply..

Graf and Sons has been the Savage reloader's friend for several years. Ever since Firearmaggedon in 2013 and the subsequent ammo shortage, there has been a realignment of reliable reloading suppliers. Where Midway was the one stop shop for everything under the sun, It has largely moved to the highest volume products. Cabela's has been the highest priceed, minimally diverse supplier of brass and such for reloaders for some time. I've thrown my hat in with Graf and Sons, you won't be dissapointed.

Saw new Remington 100gr 250-3000 at the local Cabelas. Brass may eventually show up from the big guys, but Hornady should be good.

My local shop hasn't had any loaded Rem stuff for 3 years. Went in this spring and he had 5 boxes. I bought 3 and he still has 2 on the shelf. The Remington 100 gr are pricey, almost $40 a box. I seem to be the only one that buys them here, check your local shops. Oops, you were looking for brass, this won't help, Joe.

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

That is a long time to wait for a back order. I thought 5 months from Midway USA was a long time, but they came through with a 100 count box of Winchester brass.

Midway has Hornady in stock currently.

I bought 2 bags of Remington 250 Savage brass on clearance out of the Bargain Cave in the Woodbury, MN store just before Labour Day. I left several other bags of them still on the rack. The Rogers, MN store had a couple in the Cave too.

The stores will get inventory which never shows up wherever mail orders are shipped from and also the other way around. I have often found things on shelves which are on back order via website. One can also find a price difference between the two so it pays to check the website before hitting the check out. I have seen an item ring up for more than the website which the store quickly honored once shown the on-line price. I have also seen it ring up less which only happens with the save 20/15% off coupons when I was just over the price break and now was paying a few dollars more than at the regular price. Oh, there would have to be a line of people behind me too, in a hurry no less.
