Just got back from the range and testing this load out from Alliant's web site.
I'm shooting a Ruger 77 Hawkeye 24"

Quote
338 Win. Magnum Speer 225 gr SP Winchester 3.3 24 CCI 250 Reloder 19 78.0 grains 2,944

Using these same components I got right on the numbers listed here. Happy with that.

Question, has anyone used this load for Noslers 225 Accubond? OR, Any here load the AB out past the 74.0 grain mark?

The Nosler Load Guide list 74.0 grains for their bullets but I wonder if that has more to do with the 225 Partition and having a longer bearing surface.

In comparing the Speer SP and Nosler AB both seem to have the same bearing surface. The Nosler being the longer bullet.

I have a few lbs of RL19 and boxes of 225 AB-- still a little further down the 'to do' list than I care to admit. Id love to be able to get near those velocities. 24", 1-10T Pac Nor.
