Picked up a used Browning Buckmark a while back. Really like the pistol, but my eyesight sucks, and I'm having a tough time seeing the open sights.

I hate the look of the red dots on a handgun, so was thinkin a reflex sight might be the ticket. Was looking at the Browning Reflex, but it seems to get mixed reviews. One guy in particular on youtube seemed to have really bad luck with them.

So, what's out there, that won't break the bank? Something $100.00 or less. Looking for something to shoot squirrels, and any other critters that need killin.

Thanks in advance.

I bought one of these:

http://www.brownells.com/optics-mou...sights/open-red-dot-sight-prod27251.aspx

I went for the cheapest just to try it out, and I'm impressed. I fitted it to a 357mag carbine and it works well. It has 5 selectable reticle options and can select red or green LED, and has brightness adjustment. I suspect that it will eventually give out (due to its price) but the 357mag rifle has minimal recoil so it should be alright for a while.

That's a bold assertion. Point out where you think I lied.

My Trijicon RMR is the bomb. I prefer the Dual-Illuminated RM08 (green triangle reticle) as their are no electronics to go wrong as I like to sometimes place them on heavy recoiling revolvers.

Here is my Buckmark ready for the NW 22 Rimfire Challenge Championships last August.

Sure makes it hard to holster or stick in your belt or pants thatta way.... But I reckon some folk only carry in a case/rug anyway.

I have a NIB Redfield Accelerator (basically Leupold) that I'll let go of in your price range. Comes with a 5 year warranty, but when I asked them they said they've never turned one away if it was after that time.

Shoot me a PM if you'd like to discuss it.
