In Fbks tonight and part of tomorrow. Had to get a foreign object removed from my eye. Not fun. Should be fine in a day they tell me. Had to shoot two bears in a DLP situation last night- blueberry crop was abysmal and bears are hungry I guess. Let's just say that a 1 oz slug from a 3" mag is adequate.

Sounds like it got kinda sporty with the bears! Glad you're okay. I would have felt sorry for the bears if Dennis lost!!! They would have been licking their hinnies for weeks to get the taste out of their mouths!!!

Standard Foster type slug, 3" Federal. I stopped at Sportsmans and bought two more boxes of 3" mags.

Happy to hear they worked.
I've carried slugs, but never had the need to shoot them at anything other than stumps. I know klik has posted about Brenneke incident that while ending with a dead bear, the slug was less than satisfying. .

Talus in Az is headed to Bettles
Met him yesterday, tried to take him to brunch at Pikes, that backfired, he must be a gunslinger, he whipped out his cc faster than you can say bobs yer uncle !
He grabbed some beer and we hauled it out to Wrights to send up to Bettles
Something about Dennis really enjoys watching him drink beer 🤔
