Hey Dan. Remember what I said about not seeing this guy in the daylight? Look what showed up in the front yard tonight. He's 13 paces from the corner of my house. That's my archery target to his left. You still got a chance. Good Luck!

It's a whooping 11 degrees right now with more snow and some stiff wind coming, 5-6" on the ground.

Here's a buck my Son In Laws friend got in Warsaw NY on Nov. 7th with a bow. His family has a lot of trail cam pictures of him
from the last 3 years, and they've been hunting him hard on their farm.

Here's what I've been doing the last 2 days (my Driveway).

Just doe showing up right now

saw over 20 deer from my stand tonight 2 small buck and doe

Well it almost came together tonight,actually my plan was perfect doe started filtering out but 250 yds away and then scampering to the far end of the field and into the pines. Then a small doe comes out at 70 yds then 3 more they start feeding I am set back a bit in my hole and I have some brush obstructing my shot which is to my off side.Sure enough another deer appears and its a buck I put the bino's on him and he's a nice wide 8 pt. They are starting to feed my way when one of the does runs across the field away from me then he gets on another does ass and starts pushing her, he is going straight away from me, I lean forward and turn myself and when he gets to about 120 yds away he gives me a slight quartering away shot. I shoot looked like he reared up and runs back to the edge I'm sitting on and stops and then runs into the brush. I think great I got him take my time reload and then go to look for him. Not one speck of blood in the fresh snow I searched for 45 minutes across the whole field line where he was standing and then into the brush clean miss. I'll not beat myself up too much as it was a tough shot to my off side freehand at a severely quartering target. I've missed before and likely will again that's hunting

BTDT. Hard enough when you're freezing your butt off, harder yet when you have to turn part contortionist to thread the needle.
I greatly admire your perseverance.

Too bad about the miss, but at least you were able to get a shot off at a decent animal.
