I'm usually not interested in smaller calibers but in reading several recent articles on the cartridge, it intrigues me. My question is, has anyone formed brass for it from either '06, 308 or some other parent case? I have tons of brass that might work but no Creedmoor cases to measure. Looks like it wouldn't take much to form, cut down the neck and fireform. It appears the body of the '06 and 308 is a slightly smaller diameter at the shoulder but could be fireformed to expand. Just thought I'd ask if possibly somebody has done it and what parent case they used.
I've got an action and it wouldn't take much to build a gun, so I'm contemplating.

Way easier to buy some Creedmoor brass unless you have a bunch of time to kill.

I do have all the time in the world, and I'd rather make my own when possible.

Found my answers on another forum. Yes, it's possible out of 308 and if that's possible, '06 works also with a bit more effort. Many doing it!
