Gentlemen:

I had a hare-brained idea that I wanted to run by people w/ much more experience than myself. I have a few pounds of Blackhorn 209 powder lying around from when I thought I might like muzzleloading (I don't). Does anyone think I could stuff enough of it into a .30-06 case behind a 220gr. bullet to make a useful load? Might not be too different than an old .30-40 Krag. Any thoughts?

Cool, thank you. That should have been the first place I looked.

Interesting idea. Basically a reduced-load setup! It would be real easy to load, just fill the case up to the shoulder and smash a bullet on top!
