The NFL players aren't the only ones who dont/wont stand during the anthem.....when I was a kid in school there were a group of jehova's witness who wouldn't stand during our Canadian anthem in school. One time during the anthem a female teacher lost her schitt and came over and grabbed one of these 4-5 male students and pulled him to his feet and said " at least you can have the decency to stand for the National anthem".
This was 45 years ago and I now realize the importance of her actions, way to go lady teacher and after my grandfather fought in 2 world wars I will always teach a standing posture for a civilized countries National anthem.
They should be fired....I cant remember his name but a great football coach said "do you know how I motivate my football team? I get rid of the guys who aren't motivated....so true.

Agree completely. It starts at the top, with what leadership espouses and promotes. What we're seeing is the result of Obama's inciting this racial and ideological divide in this country for 8 years. Nothing short of civil war will hit the reset button for some of these people, and even then, I doubt we have much hope for a come to Jesus meeting of the minds event.

At the end of the day, these guys in the front offices don't give a schit about principles or their players as much as they care about their money. If enough people walk away from watching and the advertisers walk away due to low revenues, and these ridiculous new contract salaries start dropping, this will all change.
