I just saw Bucks new fixed blade version of the 110 lock back in the new AG Russel catalog.
Kinda cool for those that like the old Buck lock backs but don't like cleaning the goo out of the handle.
The last thing I need is another knife and I'd prefer it with nickel/silver bolster and pins but being a fan of Buck knives I just might put one on my Christmas wish list this year.

That's MSRP..........they're $69 and free shipping at most of the on line vendors.
I found a place that has Rosewood or Walnut scales for the same $69 price.
I don't much care for the Damonwood (laminate)....it's strong but looks funky.

Even better is the fact it's made in Idaho USA.

I'm a fan of good ol Buck knives and Bird and Trout patterns which this is similar to so I figure it could handle any Bird or Trout task that my other half dozen B&T knives can't. smile

I walked in to Walmart one day and they had marked down their 110'S to $19! I relieved them of several for future gifts...

I saw them in the A.G. Russell mag a few months ago, and at $69.
I decided I needed one to go with my newly refurbished 40 yo 110[thanks Buck].
Wife got me one for Christmas.
The 101 has a nice feel in your hand, otherwise just very plain Jane just like the 110.
It'll be a nice pair to hand to grandson in a few years.

I don't blame you......the 110's a real classic.....and a work horse to boot.

That'll be a nice combo for a young man to get started with.

I like that plain Jane utilitarian look. I'm not sure it's worth $70 but I'll probably have to have one anyway.

I always find B&T patterns to be killer on whitetail.

Ordered a 101 with Walnut handle from Copper & Clad. They were the ones who encouraged Buck to make them I believe and their walnut version has a nice flap sheath.

I like the little 102 for skinning too.....I've skinned a butt load of Coyotes with this one over the last 30+ yrs.

It's been sharpened so much it needs a trip to Buck for a re-profile.

I know what you mean. I've got two 110"s I have to send back for new blades, The one I have that I got the first year they came out looks like a dagger the blade is so worn down from skinning Deer. Elk and Pigs over the years. Sorta hate to send it off as I have had it so long and its like a good friend.

Broke down and bought a 101 and another 119, this one in Brahama trim. I don't like the looks of the sheath, may spring for standard 119 leather..

The 101 showed up yesterday. I guess I'd forgotten how big the 110 is but this thing's huge.
Way too much knife for my needs so I'm afraid I'll have to send it back.
Shame because it's a beauty but I''l never use it.

Please show me where......unless by "for not much more" you mean double.

I have a couple of custom knives that I love but for some reason I have a soft spot for Buck knives too.

It's all good. I've got several from Vince and Dale Howe for under 2 bills... didn't mean to ruffle your feathers...

Uhhhh......just so ya know....."under 2 bills" is more than double so I wasn't ruffled, I was just pointing out that you weren't telling the truth.
