For this year. We are close, a few yet maybe. I'll miss them till they ripen again next summer.

How are your tomatoes doing?

Last week I picked the last ones and brought them inside to ripen.
No heat anymore in the garden so no choice but to ripen them inside. It has been a good summer for them here.

Getting some late blight on mine. I imagine I will get a couple more until the first hard frost. It's been upper 80's for the last week so they are ripening well.

The only thing I really like about summer is tomatoes and humming birds.

We have reached the point where they are almost done. This has allowed a quality to surface in my wife that was also present in my mother. They want to make them last and not waste any, so they are serving the "most ripe" ones. This sees the arrival at the table of tomatoes that are practically (and taste like it) rotten while prime tomatoes are left on the counter until they reach the same state. I love(d) them both dearly, but geez.

The cherry tomatoes by the front porch are all getting ripe at the same time.
I eat them in passing and can't keep up now, I better step it up. Not many more to
ripen, soon won't be able to get a decent tomato.
