I kinda like the 6.5 PRC also if they put a long enough barrel on it to see an advantage over the other 6.5s

Wow, that was a lot to read through. Unfortunately they don't produce a 338 or 35 caliber rifle yet. That to me screams:
338 Federal 358 Win (both with a 3" box)
or
338-06 35 Whelen (both with a 22 or 24" barrel no threads)
To me that's what a limited edition is for, but obviously opinions vary.

Billy I'd be into this. A brown stock and red/orange pad is just plain sexy.

Since somebody will count up the requests - let me put a final vote in for 6.5 prc
doubtful that it gets made due to magnum...blah ...blah
but it would sell like hotcakes. Because Hornady marketing will make it successful. People like the latest and greatest. Loonies would try it and argue about how it and everything new is redundant- yet still buy one.
I imagine we 24hcf members would buy the special ed, then barrett can put them in dealers hands... all of it working out around SHOT 2018 for an announcement slam dunk

If we're sticking to SAAMI blessed cartridges, I'd be in for a 6 Creedmoor, No 2 weight @ anywhere from 21-24". Stock color isn't important, but something that imitated a McSwirly would be neat.
If we're venturing outside of SAAMI, 22 Creed has my interest.

I'd like to see anything on the SA but with the same barrel contour as the LA (a no.2-ish) rather than the 21" no.1 they currently use. I'd own one, but not the way it's currently configured.
Make it a 23" no.2 contour, 1-8" 6.5 Creedmoor and I'm a buyer... +1.

My NULA .260 has the 24" #2 cut at 23". It balances perfectly and is my favorite hunting rifle.
