Find a used pair of Swarovski 8x30 SLC's. Been using mine for 25 years and they are the perfect bowhunting bino IMO. Perfect size and great glass. Best money I ever spent on hunting equipment. When they need a clean up send them to Swarovski and they will send them back looking like new. This what I did when my kids started hunting and they needed bino's for bowhunting. Found theirs for $500 and they both were like new condition and will last their lifetime. Not the only way to go but not one you will regret.

Under $200?

Avoid the Leupold Yosemites, especially the 6X30.

Buy anything else.

My son has the Minox BD 8x24 that he got from Doug at Cameraland for $179. He likes them and they seem nice for the money.

I'd be tempted for try the Maven C.2 10x28. You can get them from their "Demo Program" for $202 and the 7x28 for $180. I've personally never tried them, but have read good reviews about Maven on Rokslide. Llink- https://shop.mavenbuilt.com/collections/demo-units/products/demo-unit-c-2

We would be happy to assist you. There are Steiners and Minox's that would be perfect for you.
We are closed today but open tomorrow. Please give us a call on Monday and we will take care of you, no worries

I had some Minox for a while and they were pretty good for the price.
Doug sold me some 8x20 Liecas and they are pretty amazing for the size. They were pretty pricey, but I got "demos" and that helped.

I bought the Swarovski 10x25's and they have been outstanding if you can get use to the narrower field of view of those little ones. It is hard to wear out good binoculars, so I think that I would be looking at the upper end used market. Something to consider is the lifetime warranty on those upper end ones. I totally wrecked mine on a trip out west (long story) and Swarovski fixed them perfectly at no charge. I won a little pair of 10x25 Simmons that I keep in the glove compartment and they are better than nothing, but not in the same league with the Swarovski's.

My other auto is a .45

Whatever its worth:

These are superb. Optically superior to my 10x25 leica trinovids in every aspect.

I bought some used 7x20 Leupolds that were made by Leica. If you want shirt pocket binos these are the best I’ve seen. Individual focus make them really nice.

I have 2 bino's in this price range, one are Steiners the other Nikon. Both are junk IMO and my use for them is to pass around at sporting events. I keep my Swaro's around my neck and don't pass them around, well worth the extra money
