Well my gig in Bettles is over and I am back in Mesa. Wow- it's hot down here. Not sure if I will do it again next summer or non- long time to be away from my family. When I figure out this new system I may post some photos.

Welcome home, Dennis. smile

Yes sir,
I understand the family thing. I liked living in Mesa in the very olden days, but much prefer our 2 times living in Alaska.

A few more

This is Sylvia Vidal- she spent 53 days solo in the Arrigetch and rock climbed. She has a blog somewhere but you will have to search. She hit it off with my wife.

Whether you go back or not what a cool experience for you Dennis. Hope it made some happy memories for you

As is it'll wait a couple more years and watch out!

Hope you make it back. Once it got in our blood it was all over...

This is what happens when you come in the hangar and tear the refrigerator up and tear open totes to eat peoples dehydrated food.

This was the only thing I shot with my 308. All the rest were 12 gauge and slugs.

Great photos Dennis!! Thx for posting them.

I especially like the pike fishing in a Hawaiian shirt and changing a piston while sitting on the nose of the prop.

Dennis,

Good to hear you had a great time--and your wife got up there too. I recognize that pale hunting/gun writer in one of your photos; met him for the first time when we were both 29 (born a couple weeks apart), which was 35 years ago.

I love the North myself, and have sometimes consider moving up there. In fact Eileen has wondered if I was coming back sometimes!
