So, my recently acquired. 375 Win Big Bore has me confused. Did winchesdter ever produce these with a crescent style stock? I am assuming it is not original as the stock and butt plate have matching numbers on them, but different from the rifle serial number.

To the best of my knowledge they never made them with a crescent butt. I've seen them with and without a raised comb though.

It kinda looks like they used the factory stock and cut a crescent in it.

Numbers on stock and metal butt plate match each other, but not the rifle.
