The past week was spent on a photo trip to the Tetons where the goals were mainly to geta sunrise image from Oxbow Bend and to photograph the moose along the Gros Ventre River. This is the largest of the three bulls I saw in a few days along the GV. They sure can move quick with their long legs.

Excellent! Did a Yellowstone trip a few weeks back and could not get the rest of the party to head down into the Jackson country. That image might just get Cookie headed that way next season. Might see a few on an upcoming elk hunt, but will likely not be packing a camera. Again, good shooting there.

1' I had a moose feeding towards me in Yellowstone back in the 80's when I was shooting 35mm. He kept getting closer until the ranger thought I was too close. I was stationary with tripod. I wonder how the moose numbers have changed since the reintroduction of the wolves.

The wolves eat the calves like popcorn. They have hit the moose hard. If you love wolves you hate Moose , Elk and deer.

I keep thinking that some day I will see your best picture. Then you post some more. Especially the middle one. Thanks for posting again.

RedRabbit: A question. A bit of an HDR look to a couple of these. Is that a tool you use? Been thinking of suggestion that to Cookie, but she'd have to start packing a tripod and pray for some relatively stable subjects.

I did use some NIK tonal contrast in the middle one of the last set. Too much can make it look HDR; I see it in the trees.
