I have read so much over the decades in outdoor magazines about the great elk to be found in New Mexico. These are MONSTERS! Wow. Do not tell anyone where you got them. Make them work for it themselves. A neighbor and I tried to bid on a unit in the north part of the State, but when we looked at how many people were already bidding, he said here would be hunters all over the place and to look elsewhere. A shame, because he has harvested an elk there for years. Norm

I expect so, since OP said they were on his ranch. In checking around NM sites, I'm finding that the outfitters get booked up far in advance, too. so unless there is a cancellation, there are no late options. One highly recommended one has already been booked up for most of his hunts in the Fall of 2018. I'm not good about planning that far ahead.

Awesome bulls Jeremy. You still killing any coyotes?
Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.
