Thanks for posting your pictures, Dennis!

Those photos of Otters and Beavers brought back fond memories from when I worked in Canada's arctic and rode in those noisy buggers.

The planes were quite old even in the late 80's but all the pilots seemed to have complete faith in them, so it is very cool to hear from somebody who keeps them flying today!

One of our Beavers was the second to last Beaver ever manufactured, the rest were from the 50s.

Reminds me of the Chena River in the middle 50s. Went to elementary school in the Little Red School on the river. This was on the Ladd AFB property before Aurora school was built. Saw many L20s take off and land by the school.

Glad you made it back home safely, Dennis. Really enjoyed getting to meet you and spend some time in Bettles.

If anyone is wondering, I’m the “good looking” one in the KU cap.

Thanks Kurt- I enjoyed spending some time with you guys too. I am back to work 2 days a week and hunting in-between. I bought an airplane a couple of weeks ago and when I finally get done with my hunting seasons will start having some fun.

Yeh, I spent a few evenings there with Al. I definitely don't want to be in the hospitality business! They have great Pizza on Friday nights only. Beer is cheaper than at the Bettles Lodge. You can watch a game on TV and eat at the same time.

Are you talking about the lodge at Sourdough on the Richardson?

I remember it from the '60s... and a regular poster here has relatives that ran it for years.
