Not sure why this even was proposed but could be disastrous for Elephants and all regulated species. https://secure.awf.org/dems-stop-HR2603

Did you even read the bill? It has nothing to do with wildlife in africa.

The bill is a counter to Baammy's F&WS that listed non-native animals on a game ranch protected under the ESA because they were endangered where they come from.

It states that any non-native animal living in the US does not fall under the ESA, and can't be listed as threatened or endangered to prevent hunting on a game farm. The only way this affects elephants is if someone imports a herd and starts allowing hunting on a ranch.

Nothing to do with Africa. It's to stop the ESA from being applied to hunting of oryx and other "endangered" animals on American ranches. Oryx and a few other species may be endangered in their home country but there's plenty of them here

Thought it revoked Ivory restrictions. Better read before posting. The Texas Oryx program has been the best thing for that species for both numbers and genetics. Hunting exotics saves the remaining wild stock and serves as a source for re-introduction.

Go to the AWF website. You'll see all you need to see. A bunch of globalists and Clintonistas. Pretty safe to say that whatever they oppose, I'm likely going to favor.

Definitely a good bill for hunting. Will be interesting if it passes to see the impact that lessened regulations has n he population of the animals. I'm thinking a lot more ranchers will start running them if there is less red tape to deal with
