For sale is my customized Savage 6.5 Creedmoor. I ordered in a brand new Savage Axis in 6.5 Creedmoor from Dan's Guns here in my town. I had Boyd's Gunstocks make me one of their Featherweight Thumbhole stocks with a 13-1/2" length of pull and with a Limbsaver recoil pad on it. This is a laminated stock in the color Pepper. I also bought a Timney trigger for this rifle. And I bought a metal (aluminum) trigger guard and front mounting (magazine) clip to replace the plastic ones that Savage uses for these rifles. Then I wisely sent all of these pieces parts to Campfire member Redneck who bedded the barreled action into this stock, free-floated the barrel, and installed and adjusted the Timney trigger for me.

I have shot exactly 20 rounds through this rifle to sight it in. That's all it's been shot. It is extremely accurate as you would imagine with a Savage in 6.5 Creedmoor would be. The Timney trigger is absolutely great. This rifle fits beautifully in may hands in this thumbhole stock and will make the new owner a fantastic hunting rifle. FYI - "Featherweight" does not mean the same thing as "Lightweight" to Boyd's Stocks. This is a normal sporter weight rifle at probabaly either side of 7 lbs. w/o the scope.

This might be the mildest recoiling centerfiire I have have ever shot. It feels like a 223 going off.

I bought a new 1-piece Ded Nutz Game Reaper medium height matte scope mount for this rifle. They are all I have used for years. I am including it with the rifle.

I also have the one box of once-fired Hornady brass shot through this rifle, 2 full boxes of 129gr Hornady American Whitetail ammo and 2 full boxes of 143gr Hornady ELD-X Precision Hunter ammo I would make the buyer of this rifle a good deal on.

Why would I sell this rifle you ask? This was one of 3 cool projects I put together this year. My other 2 customized deer rifles are just as awesome as this one, and they are in calibers I am already set up to reload for. I have just never kept more rifles in my gun cabinet than I will use at any given time, and with my other two centerfire rifles and my 2 muzzleloaders, I'm set for the time being.

I spent $900.00 on parts, pieces and gunsmithing putting this one together. I will part with it for $695.00 including insured shipping to any lower 48 states FFL who accepts long guns from private individuals. My loss is your gain. I'm firm at this price and don't need anything in trade right now. This price includes the Game Reaper scope mount, but not my Bushnell 3200 Elite 3x9 scope. But if you want a really turnkey rig, I'd include the Bushnell for an additional $125.00. It is in spotless condition and It's all sighted in for you and ready to go!
