I'm not affiliated with MGM but love their products and service. They are having a sale on 16 1/4" and 14" Contender and Encore barrels in .357 Magnum or .357 Maximum. These make excellent all-around shooters; probably the most versatile, handy calibers you can get, at a great price. If I didn't have one, I'd jump on this. Dumb question, can I still shoot magnum in a Max chamber? Might get expensive for a non-reloader to shoot Max

Yes, you can shoot mags in a max barrel. I suspect accuracy would suffer some.
Wish these barrels were linger, like 20-22".

I had a TC encore 16" 460 S&W pistol barrel that a gunsmith welded a 2" muzzle brake on. (legal for rifle stock length) It shot 460 well but shot 454 casull even better.
Never try to teach a pig to sing...

I had a 357 max barrel years ago. It was a 10" tc barrel. It shot 357 magnums great.

I own a 26" MGM barrel for my encore. Shoots good with 180 gr speers hot core flat point. 2320 fps with 26 gr. Lil gun. Great round love it.
