My son, nephew (never hunted), and I put in for pronghorn tags. Samuel had 2 points and no problem getting a buck tag but Austin & I ought to have structured our doe application differently and missed out. Austin & I have a great relationship and he wanted to come anyway. Samuel has been working his butt off to bloody his custom 257 Rob for years and finally scored a really nice buck I’d be ecstatic with. Bigger than anything I’ve gotten and I couldn’t be more proud! We cruised north to a place I’d camped in ‘15 and shot a bunch of cottontails. Austin’s first kill of any kind and due to the whole experience he is hooked and we’ll be going back out next year this time with a buck tag for him!
