We'll give this one a try before moving to GB. This is a Smith and Wesson pre 17 5 screw with a K prefix serial number 738xx. The pistol sports a 6 inch barrel with a great bore. Overall this pistol is very nice but it has been shot and in a holster. There is a bit of bluing wear at the muzzle and the high spots at the front of cylinder. There is a turn line. There is a small chip on the bottom of the left grip panel. It is an excellent shooter. For ease of shipping I will ship this from an FFL to the new owners FFL if someone has an interest. Looking for 800.00 shipped.

Beautiful and a great shooter. I have a K22 in lesser condition, and it's the first 22 I'll grab to head to range or lease.

Interesting that it's a 5 shot.

Description says it is a 5 screw, not a 5 shot.

In respect of the OP, I'll respectfully tell you to GFY! Texans can read and spell...sometimes.

Dave, I fixed your statement for you. Subtle change that adds substance to the statement.
Nice handgun, I have an identical one and would not take $800 for mine.

PSH, Do you know what year this would have been shipped? And do the grips match the gun? Dave

Travis, near as I can tell it shows a DOM of 1949. It is a k prefix 5 digit serial number. I have had this gun for a long time and couldn't remember for sure so I just looked. As I recall the chucklehead that had this gun prior to me had a set of pachmayer grips on it. I did end up finding a set of vintage grips to go back on the gun.
