I have a ton of these Sierra #2125 150 grain SPBT bullets. I just bought a pound of IMR 4895. Will be using CCI 200 primers and have a choice of Federal or Hornady brass laying around. Looks like 46 to 47 grains of powder is the "go-to" load, any other suggestions? thanks

It sounds like you have a plan!
All your components sound like the right ones, though the Federal brass may reach the end of its life sooner due to softness.

47gr. was always the magic in the garands i had. 4064 is winner also

I've still got about 20lbs, of pull down 4895 from the days before I went over to the darkside. I found 47.5gr. worked best with 150gr bullets, but 46.0 gr behind a 174gr military match bullet really shined in every Garand I ever shot it in.

Loaded for a while, a disabled Marine Friends Garand... He competed locally with it...
He ended up getting a good buy on bulk 150 grain Speer FN bullets... intended for the 30/30..
He didn't pay attention to the FN part, since the price was so attractive...
But we loaded some up to test, and they were the most accurate he had ever shot out of his Garand.
We did both 4895 and 4064.. both being pretty darn equal...
But he was thrilled, as he started winning matches like crazy...

Seafire, a lot of the hard-core Garand guys like 4064, they say they get noticeably better accuracy with it.
A powder I've tried, shows to be clean and accurate, but it won't do your pocketbook any favors is N135. After I burn the keg up I have, I'll go back to IMR4895.

Notice any difference in accuracy between Hodgdon and IMR's 4895?

I use H 4895. Works well for me. I load Sierra 150’s also.
