Are we the "only" big-bore shooters that are not out hunting? We will be changing that in about two weeks. Meanwhile.... Things are pretty slow around here! memtb

Not always a big bore shooter, but I have used my .375 H & H on antelope, moose, and elk.. Plan to deer hunt with it.. Have also taken deer and antelope with my .45-70.. We are visiting my step daughter for birthdays.. Long trip so we stayed longer than planned.. Enjoy loafing.. I have til Jan 31 to kill an elk, the least of my interests.. Next week we will head out to hunt whitetails and turkey.. Then on bird hunting the best of all.. Spent a couple days in Thermoplis visiting an old friend who was passing though.. Will be up there later hunting some birds..

Memtb: I have been very busy scouting for Elk and Deer and helping on an Antelope safari - I have also been busy butchering a nifty Buck Antelope. Been away mostly for the last week. I imagine many others around here (Campfire regulars) are doing similar things. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Yes, went yesterday with a mid bore Sharps rifle, cracked a couple doe deer and have them at the butcher, I'll drag the big guns out real soon.

Only had my 375 out one day so far this year - trying for black bear. That didn't work. We only found bear sign, no bear. Tagged a nice fat young 3x3 mule deer yesterday with a smallish bore, my 25-06 Rem. You have given me an idea though - I still have a doe tag and it would be fun to take one with the 375 H&H Number One! Guy

We put in for a late season “any elk” right here close to home. We got lucky and drew-out, but...they shortened the season to “only” two weeks. First hunting season after retirement, and the G&F shortened the season! Go Figure!!!!
WyoCoyoteHunter, We’re between Thermopolis and Worland. Sorry we missed ya! Did get to spend a few hours bs’ing with sbhooper ( Sid); last week.
Wishing all of you the best! May we all put some meat on the table with the big guns! memtb

Just back last night from 12 days in Zimbabwe with my 416 Remington. Still dosing with the time change...
