Yes sir it is a big rifle and pretty unique as well. Always wanted to stretch it legs and see what it could do. Sadl;y I have never shot her it just sits in the safe.

I shot mine quite a bit, hunted with it also. I traded it for a Cooper 56 a few years ago.
It was very accurate, I used 150 Bergers.

Bull guns don’t sell very well. You will be lucky to get 3000.00 for it in my opinion, but I’ve been wrong before.

One thing is for certain they are not making any more of them. They rarely come for sale and the ones I have seen at the big auction houses all two of them brought with fees much more than 3k

Is it just me or does that caliber stamping on the barrel look "odd"?
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!

160user: No, its not an odd marking. I have two mint, all original, 300 H&H Magnum Bull Guns (one with serial #4,5XX [January 1937] and the other allegedly new, unfired in the crate at serial #535,5XX [September 1961]) that are marked on the barrel exactly as is shown in the linked to photos - "300 Magnum". Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

It's a fantastic example of a bull rifle. IIRC, there are two different markings one early, one later, the OP's being the former not the latter. Too bad it isn't .30-06 which would make a nice companion to the earlier version.

IIRC Winchesterpoor had a NIB (crate) bull gun in 300 H&H for sale a while back. I think he sold it on GB for around $4K BUT that's memory and it can be a dangerous thing

There have been several that sat on GunBroker for a year, never sold for 3000.00. They don’t sell very well. I got lucky when I traded for a 56 Cooper in 264 Win.

Well not sure why and I can not find any ever offered on gunbroker! I offered the rifle for 3k plus shipping with zero bids so you are right a hard sell. I will put her back, maybe even shoot her But the rifle is off the market back to the safe.

It takes the right person to buy one.
How did you come about owning it?
