Hitting a grouse in the head is tricky with a little revolver. Thankfully they are patient. (mostly trying out the new CF image gallery)

A kit gun doing its job! Nice...

Hah! Yeah, I haven't even told my dog yet that I shot some birds without her. Much less ground sluiced 'em with a pistol.

She'd be liable to crap in my boots.

Great stuff Mooner, I have fond memories of the taste of quail killed with an old H&R Sportsman and cooked over the coals of a winter campfire in 1972.

[align:center][/align] Nice job on the grouse with a “ snubby”! Years ago while elk hunting with a friend of mine, over the years, we had several opportunities on grouse with our rifles. He never did remember to “hold high” on those really close shots. You don’t put “any” meat in the pot when the grouse is hit by a 210 grain NP at about 3000 fps!

I hope to get some this year with my 460 S&W.....but will be with a shot load! wink memtb
