Trying Leica's and Swarovski's range finding binos I have noticed that I had to close my left eye to see the numbers... These seem to appear on the right ocular, and with my left eye being the dominant eye I cannot see them with both eyes open.

Has anyone noticed this before...? I am surprised that I have never been it mentioned... I understand that there are no left-eyed RFB so maybe this is a problem of my own?

Thank you for your comments.

Interesting. I have the same problem. Not left eye dominant, just my right eye is not very good anymore.

I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.

Very left eye dominant here. Renders those rangefinding binos practically useless for me.

I emailed Leica's technical department and got a reply in the sense that the circuit that shows the distance reading is permanently placed in the right ocular and there is now way it can be replaced in the left one.

Does anyone know if Swaro makes left eyed RFBs? Doug?

I currently have the HD-R geovids and they work for me as I'm right eye dominant. I had the swaro el ranges which displays the yardage readout in the left barrel, so I wasn't able to clearly see it thus I sold them off....but maybe the swaros will work for you.

I am left eye dominant and have used the Leica, Zeiss, and Swarovski range finding binos since they came out and I have never had a problem reading any of them. Interesting.
