Have been able to do some game bird hunting and folded a couple antlerless whitetail supplemental tags here in Alberta. Last year for the first time in 31 years I was unable to hunt due to some unforeseen circumstances. Very blessed to be back out. Looking forward to our whitetail rut in November. Hope you all have a great and safe season.

Beautiful country. It's nice to bring home some meat with those birds and the two does. Your Savage has some pretty nice wood, what is it chambered in?

That Savage is in .30-06. Picked up from a member of the RCMP for a paltry 200.00 Canadian with the disclaimer that it had extraction issues. Turns out it was his reloading technique as factory loads shoot and function great through it.

Great buy for $200.00 especially with wood like that.

I agree it's a eye catching rifle. Also enjoyed those photographs of that beautiful country.

And folks wonder why I chose to retire in Alberta when I left the military! Incredible views like the second picture and all the great hunting and fishing here.
Speaking of the second picture, it sure looks like an area I hunted a few seasons ago.
I am strictly hunting waterfowl and upland game this year, no draws by choice.

The second picture is what comes to my mind when I think of Alberta.

Alberta is great! Have been visiting now for 45+ years, from all the way down in Montana....
