I agree but have little faith that men of power and means will do the right thing. They’re too busy flaunting their money and exerting their power to worry about how their actions affect others. It’s truly mind blowing how stupid and reckless some guys are, they’ll throw away their families and reputations for a piece of ass. Excellent assessment of things. They think their poop don't stink. There was a time when they could get away with it, but that time is long since passed.

Trust me, they can just make it up and it sticks. HR always believes the woman. Ask me how I know. That's absolutely true. I saw it in the military, the first card any female would play when faced with any sort of discipline was the sexual harassment claim, it'd get them out of anything. It was amazing how many guys would still respond to their flirtations even though they were putting their heads on a chopping block. It works the same way in divorces, anything the woman says is automatically taken as truth by the courts. That's why the spousal abuse claim is thrown around so often in divorces, it immediately shifts the focus of the court away from anything the woman has done and on to the man. That's why after I asked my wife for a divorce I recorded every interaction I had with her through either hidden audio or video. I wanted to be able to conclusively rebut any made up claims if she tried it.

Nobody voluntarily gives someone $32 million dollars unless they are trying to cover up something really bad. What would a person have to do to someone else to warrant this kind of payment? Hell, even a jury wouldn't award this much for "harassment".
The good news is we probably won't have to wonder for long. In today's world there will be leaked information, regardless of confidentiality agreements, that will explain it all.
