handwerk/Randy, Give me a call after you get here. Oh, and I hope you have packed your light weight hunting gear ! It has been in the 70's all week. Still frost in the mornings though.

I'm heading down to Ulvejaeger's house tomorrow afternoon. Pretty sure I've been doing the same since I was my son's age. You'd think we'd be good at this by now. 😎

Safe hunting to all.

We just got an inch of snow in the mountains around BozAngeles. Should be some good tracking for tomorrow's opening morning.

Elkchsr: Good luck to you's two's!
I saw some Elk on the west side of the Bighole this morning early. I was headed to Hamilton on a gun buying mission.
Warm and gray on the way west then coming him at 2:00 PM it was storming hard with snow and low visibility - should be some good tracking snow tomorrow on the opener.
Again good luck to you both.

Thanks VG.
I got lucky last night & the Lippsey's exclusive 275 Rigby spoke.
Only once......
A nice 5 pt. eating bull!
Than I got lost(turned around?) trying to walk out in the dark. Good thing Elkchser knows how those GPS things work!!:)

And yeah for the 275 Rigby as well!
One shot - one Bull.
Throw that liver in one of the panniers also.

No luck this weekend. I saw a few but wasn't able to get close enough. Always next time! Here is a pic of Ulvejaeger's bull, the walk out did seem a whole lot longer than the walk in. grin

Ulvejaeger & Elkchsr: What a dandy Bull!
Good for you both (Elk Hunting is a team sport!).
My regular Elk Hunting partner got a nifty 6x5 Sunday morning and had to bring in the horses (pricey!) to bring it home.
Elkchsr, you're up next!
Good luck.
Great picture by the way.
