Hell there's bars around here that won't even serve Jager. Too many torn up bathrooms and fights.

I get angry(sober) and (less often drinking) but it is always for a (semi)worthy rational reason.

Unless Jager is involved.....

Kicked a pizza at the TV one time, worked over the door at our condo.

Totally retarded chit.

A buddy that lives near the Mexico border says I need to try Sotol, a cousin of Tequila.

Work, work, work,I'll do what I can but my usual Tequila Is Hornitos.

Yup the stuff makes me break out in handcuffs.

I break out in cuts, bruises, contusions, broken bones, and enemies.

When I drink tequila, I get mean. Very, very mean. I will fight anyone and everyone.

So, I no longer drink tequila.

The last time I drank tequila - May 1972 - I wound up apologizing to 4 buddies, the next day, and paying to replace the convertible top on one of them's '68 Galaxie.
NEVER AGAIN!!!

Myself, my boss, and about 10 other engineers for my company worked in Mexico all last year. Don Julio 70 was the one everybody brought back to the US. $25/bottle at Costco down there. I don't drink, so have no clue if it's as good as they made it out to be.

The Latin American Director of our company has a cousin with an Agave Plantation. Some liquor magazine rated the best tequilas a couple years ago and his cousins was #1. He gave out 100+ bottles of it at the end of the project. I looked it up, like $200/bottle. Only sold in the US. Can't think of the name of it for anything.

Easy to find, easy to drink.

Stay away from Mescal!.. Monte Alban Mescal caused me to replace the top on a '67 camero convertible in 1985. Bad news Tastes like charcoal going down and diesel coming up.

Kirkland silver is way better then the price would indicate. Also Luna sul is quite good for a mid price.

I won't go into details, but the last time I REALLY drank tequila, I drove to the police station to turn myself in. I won't go into details because I don't remember them, but I hear it was bad.

In my wilder and younger days, stateside and Old Mexico travels, consumed a lot of tokillya and mezcal (whatever was cheap: to include, El Toro, Sarape, Monte Alban, Two Worms, and unknown well) usually with less than satisfactory results. Discovering that they produce an intoxication unlike other alcoholic beverages and usually contribute to undesirable misadventures, I progressed to a bit higher shelf selection. Went through all the Cabo Wabos, Jose Cuervos, Patrons and various small craft label brands, some that are very good and quite expensive. Settled on Gran Patron Platinum as absolutely the smoothest tequilla with no negative side effects. YRMV.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, Here am I. Send me!

Whisky-Bourbon has the same effect on me that you say Tequila has on you. It makes me gag. I've tried a bunch that people said was good and it all tasted about the same to me. A really good Tequila makes my mouth water from the smell, just like a good steak.

It isn't the Jager's fault. It's whatever gets you into the state where you'd consider drinking that nasty shit that's the real problem.

Other than Evil Twin and myself, are there any other absinthe addicts here on the 'fire?
