What was the toy they used to give out when I was a kid? Some kind of de-coder ring I believe.

All us kids used to wear those black canvas track shoes...

Those SOB's nearly ruined my feet. No arch support at all. As a teenager, my feet were flat as a pancake.

Then, started wearing GOOD boots full time, and my arches came back to some extent.

Those old canvas shoes didn't do us any favors. But, they were cheap, and at the time, my parents needed "cheap" especially with me going through about 2-3 shoe sizes a year.

I worked with a colored guy that wore the slip on shoes with the white bottoms. Called them roofin shoes. They wouldn’t slip on steep metal roofs.

I loved them, when i could find them when mine wore out. Yes, thorns would go through, but when they did you could jump real nhigh.
Usually got the flat pf once a year.

Those flat ones made your feet burn the fist day of wear.
