Thank you. I couldn't believe it when I saw it sitting on that sign. Then, it posed for three pictures before it flew away.

Great pic!!

Those sharptails will drive you crazy

Last year spent the day walking grasslands for sharpies in Montana

10 miles and not a bird put up so went duck hunting.

Set up with the dog in a duck blind after 15 minutes sharpies started flying over water

Great pass shooting and limited out.

Very fun bird to hunt with dog and cannot beat the areas the reside in for upland paradise

Great picture.

Now that is one good taxidermist! It's realistic.

I hate those birds. I never see any when I'm hunting them. I have seen many when I wasn't hunting.

Years ago ('60s) my father and I were caribou hunting and spotted some birds on the very tops of a few stunted spruces. My father was not sure which grouse they were, but they were all legal to shoot.

He got as close as he could and using a brand new Beretta BL-3 in 20gauge he shot one sitting and then swung to another as it left the treetop. He often spoke of how he simply could not catch up to that bird on the wing. They be fast!

I was pissed when he sold it without letting me know.
