I see some listings of 2017 SHOT Show special run that Browning did in the BLR. Matte blue/walnut BLR Lightweight with Monte Carlo high comb stock.
I really like this configuration, I see it listed in many calibers on GunBroker and GunsAmerica, but NOT the 358 Win!
I asked a few of the places that have listings for other calibers, was told Browning did make some in 358, but they don't have any.
Has anyone seen one of these specials in 358 Win? I'd like to find one.....

any talk about a future gun in 6.5 in a BLR ?

I really like that gun too.
Like you I called and emailed listing dealers trying to find one in .358. No luck. Quite a few .308's and .243's. I'm holding out for a good deal on one and have it bored.

I contacted Browning, only TEN of those Shot Show special BLR's were made in 358.
Now THAT is a rare gun....
Don't know why Browning doesn't offer that high comb stock for the BLR, lots of people top them with scopes...

Buy one of each, swap wood, sell the one you don't want.

Believe it or not... in my searching to the ends of the internet, I found it.
Shot Show 2017 special BLR 358 with monte carlo high comb stock. The LAST one they had out of 10.



Whackem', when I asked if they had this 358 model in stock and they (shockingly) said they did, I asked how many are left?!?
At first he said they had two left, and then said let me check first... nope, only one left.
If they had two, I was gonna give you an instant heads up.

Fireball, more I looked at it, it would be tough to swap wood with another gun. These Shot Show special BLR's with monte carlo high comb stock are meant for scope mounting, they have no iron sights at all like regular BLR's do. So if you swapped stocks with a normal BLR, you'd end up with one gun having a low stock and no iron sights.
