Becoming my go to rifle for most of my adventures , testing Postimage.org

LH Forbes 7-08 SS Barrel , 6 X 36 LRD, very accurate with 140 gr N Accubond or 140 gr N E Tip under 1" to
same POI. Balances great for a light rifle not whippy.

I was really hoping that this was gonna be a for sale add😁. Top notch setup. I’ve been looking for a good deal on one just like yours ever since I bought the left hand Forbes 30-06. I’m planning on the same scope even! Seems like the perfect grab and go package to me

That's about as well-mated a package as I've seen in a long time. Well done, KK and good photos, too.

Thanks for sharing KK. I have the identical setup and working on load development with 140 grain etips. What powder are you having luck with?

Had 3 other LH 7-08,s they all liked 140 GR with RP cases and 47.5 GR of RS BG.

The LH Forbes has a tighter chamber and shorter throat, about 1 gr less. But its best load is 48 Gr of H 4350
WW case, CCI 200 Primer, 140 GR N E Tip, or 48.5 GR of H 4350 with the 140 GR N Accu Bomb. Mid 2800,s

Using JB,s data.

Just over 5/8" both loads and same POI. Shot 11 straight clay birds and pieces at 220 yards, with diff. loads when I first got it.

Thanks KK. I've been playing around with RE17 and seeing decent results as well. Might have to try the 4350.

I don't think you will like it very long. I'd be willing to take it off your hands for a reasonable price.

kk, that's a real beauty. How are you liking the 7mm-08 compared to your .30-06?

The Forbes has to be my favorite rifle I have owned so far , waiting on a LH Barret in 6.5 Creedmoor. Want to try one of those. But I like them all!

Great stuff.
And I'm hearing you, KK. Same results here.

I took my LH Forbes .308 out yesterday to the range for some prep for deer season. 1/2" moa all day long with any ammo I fed it. Ridiculous accuracy and a joy to shoot.
Best shooting rifle I've ever owned and that includes a LH NULA .308.

I am really liking the 6.5x55 I picked up from Barrets. I hope to bloody it soon. 129 Hornadays over R26 at 3130 fps what's not to like?
