What are the best sights, both optical and iron for defensive and or utility AR15 rifles.
Cost IS an issue.

Best and "cost is an issue" are going to eliminate a lot of good sights.
I really like the Daniel Defense A1.5 rear sight with a regular front sight tower for solid SHTF sights.
Probably an Aimpoint PRO is going to be the best cheap red dot.
A good illuminated scope in the 1-4, 1-6 range is not going to be cheap.

What he said.
And make sure it's an F marked FSB that's pinned. I've seen several non-F and non-pinned models recently. They're NOT the same.
And I'd add LaRue fixed tears also.
your flippant remarks which you so adeptly sling

Just to add, Colt no longer marks their FSB with an F.

All I have to ad about front sight bases being pinned, is that if put on correctly with 640 loctite and set screws and you manage to move the sight, your barrel is probably bent at that point.... But pins are good too.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
