I'm thinking that I'd like to build a 300 WM around the 200 grain AB for its high BC and thought that the magnum length action might be of benefit with the long AB.
Just remember before you go building a rifle around the 200AB for it’s great BC, that Nosler has padded some of their numbers. The actual BC on the 200 AB is .524 not the advertised .588.
Because through judicious handloading and a bold sense of optimism, you can make anything into an .88 Magnum - once! 😁 - chesterpulley

Yeah, but I have a s***load of 300WM brass, and I’d rather not deal with the Weatherby freebore. Having owned a 300 Weatherby for many decades, the freebore has never been a limiting factor or presented a single problem.

Having owned a 300 Weatherby for many decades, the freebore has never been a limiting factor or presented a single problem. It won't. But, having a big supply of brass is definitely a reason to build a rifle... We understand... DF
