Yes I know the classy way to hunt them is with a side by side. But for a no non-sense shotgun, does anyone use the Benelli 12 ga. and how is it working for you? Seems that everthing is going to be non-toxic shot for the future. Thanks in advance.

The SBE will work as well as any other semi-auto and better than some. If it is what you have or what you want to buy, do so and don't look back. I know of many who use one version or the other of the SBE as their primary shotgun and they are satisfied with it.

I prefer an O/U myself, I reload and it is easier to find the empties afterward. I do use a semi-auto on occasion with my preference being Beretta or Browning guns. Benelli is low on my list due to fit, expense, hype, and some bad experiences way back when they were being imported by H&K. Those have been ironed out it seems but I have never warmed up to them since.

The ultra light, M2, and or SBE are great pheasant guns...

I have had my SBE3 for a couple months and couple of thousand rounds. Only shot five stand, skeet and sporting clays and dove hunted with it so far, but it will go chase blue quail next week and pheasants in a few weeks. I have several shotguns but like the SBE enough that I have not used anything else the last few weeks.

Not an SBE3, but yes, many around here use a Benelli for everything. They make a great pheasant gun since they are light enough to carry all day without your arms falling off.

An M2 24" or 26" is about perfect.

I do not know of many who use a SxS, and lots use Benelli. I find Benelli to be overrated and overpriced but if it floats your boat, then by all means. Nothing magic or special about them, they seem to me to have no soul but if it floats your boat, then go ahead.
