Working out of Mackenzie B.C. and we got clobbered over the last 24hrs. Actually dread this part of year even though it's the money time. Anywhere else covered in the white stuff.

We've got maybe an inch, not enough for me to get out trapping yet... Its been cold though. -27 is the coldest we've seen so far but looks like the bottom will drop out by the end of next week. Are you logging ? I grew up just east of you ( Moberly Lake)

We arrived at our place in Idaho 60 miles south of the border a week or so ago to this. Another few inches fell subsequently though today it warmed above freezing allowing some needed melt.

Had a few small snowfalls in the last few weeks but not much, a few days ago we got 4-6" and a bit more today. Not too much in the mountains so far since it has been colder than normal and not much precipitation. I don't mind that at all since October and November here (Terrace) can have a lot of rain and eventually mixed rain and snow giving way to a lot of snow in November some time. It's nice to see the sun in the late fall and winter.
Gerry.

Have had light snow on the ground here in the BC Fraser Valley and reports from the Kootenays . Best time to hunt deer and hope to get out a couple times from the 20th to season end.
EdM. Where in Idaho, exactly, my mother was born there some 95 years ago, mining camp called "Black Bear Gulch", IIRC?

OK, sorry I have not called, just some meds issues that have me in a sleep-deprived space. I would say Wednesday, 7:30ish PM?

10-15 cm more snow tonight by the sounds of things. We'll have almost 2 feet if it snows like they said it's going too.

Have had a couple of snows but each time it melted. Had one that closed the #1 from Medicine Hat to Calgary for a few hours a couple weeks ago. What snow we had recently was maybe 6 inches, mostly gone now as we were on the plus side today. Supposed to snow tomorrow but we will see. Something about the SE Alberta Banana Belt.

7STW; Good evening to you sir, I trust the week has been treating you acceptably thus far.
We had snow last week Thursday - which is the earliest I can recall it snowing here in the 33 years we've lived here. It was something like -13°C last weekend up at 5500' too and the Dodge was pushing a fair bit of snow with the front diff in places, which again is way too early for here.
For the most part it melted here in the valley by Monday, but it made hunting at 4000' on the mountain behind the house almost impossible too. We spun out a few times and decided that breakfast back home was a better option than crunching the pickup in spectacular fashion.
All the best to you this winter sir - stay safe and keep warm and dry as possible.
Dwayne
