Can anyone school me some on Roy Dunlap? I picked up a Remington 700 ADL that he worked over many years ago looks like. I know he wrote some gunsmith books that are very popular. Any info would be nice, Thanks

I recall reading Dunlap articles in (I believe) the AMERICAN RIFLEMAN and maybe GUN DIGEST some years ago. I think he was an Arizona gunsmith who specialized in target rifles. However, I don't really trust my faulty memory; there are probably many others on this forum with better information.

I found some info on the net a few days ago, said he built ''Free'' rifles, to be honest I don't know what those are. I guess some sort of match rifle
