I was thinking that there was a really good post from a few years ago from shortactionsmoker on Kimber rifles? Does anyone remember this? If so,
Does anyone have a link to it?

Thanks,
Jed

What are the recommendations for occasional feeding issues on a Montana?

I have a rifle that the rounds will sometime not stay in the mag well even/straight and a round can fail to get picked up.

What action is it? I've heard of those issues with the 84L but I haven't run into it personally.

Sometimes the fix is a stronger spring, and sometimes the foot of the spring slides forward in the bottom of the mag well, allowing the rear of the follower to "slump" down so the bolt rides over the cartridge and fails to pick it up.

The fix for that is a dab of bedding epoxy (has to be thick, not runny like accraglass) on the bottom of the mag well to keep the foot of the spring from sliding forward.

On another note, how do you guys find old threads? The search function won't work for old ones.

It does, but it's a bit of a pain. You have to adjust the time window as I believe you can only search for 1 year at a time.
You select
Newer than 1 Year(s)
Older than <leave blank>

to search for anything in the last year. If you don't find it adjust to Newer than 2 Year(s), Older than 1 Year(s), and so on until you find the post you are looking for.
