what does 'dirty burn' have to do with killing hogs?

Well, the original question by the OP was about what powder to use under a 300 gr hardcast. Since the thread has devolved into just listing your personal hunting load, here's mine:


I've been cautioned about Lil' Gun damaging my gun. I keep an eye on it, and so far, all is good.

Technically, nothing. Its just that I used Unique a lot in the 70-80’s for a sort of do-all powder. But, it left my gun so dirty, inside & out I spent more time cleaning than shooting. Moved onto cleaner powder and scrub less.
