Visions of millions of dollars flash through your head, as do visions of yourself cooling your heels in the local calabozo or even the Federal slam. I mean, who knows nowadays? What do you do? Do you part Squatch's hair with your '06 or bid him a good day and carry on with the deer hunt?
Only if I was carrying a .243 AI. If it was a standard .243, I wouldn't even attempt it.
He who joyfully marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice.
He was killed by the "second shooter" in either Las Vagas or Dallas....
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”
Test of all test's. Who's tougher me or bigfoot? Heck yeah, I'd drop my rifle walk over there and kick his arse with my fists! Oh, I'm sure he'd get in a lick or two but I think I could whoop him.
Would you like to just keep explaining the problem or do you want the solution?
My boys (7,3 and 2) are convinced every time we go into the woods that we are looking for Bigfoot. The middle one now usually carries a length of rope with which to lasso and tie him. Fortunately for Bigfoot the boys seem more interested in live capture methods.
I'd say actually seeing one close enough to see it's face would scare the schit out of most folks, myself included. Hard to say what might happen after that.
There are more primitive life forms we consider human in all urban hubs. I'd let him stroll on, hell...he can even vote if he wants to. Maybe we could pay them as an incentive to breed.

I think that any Bigfoot that roams the face of the earth has a much higher intellect than the millions of people that tune in to watch that Finding Bigfoot show every week on the television. Those Bigfoot hunters run all over country filming themselves for an hour and then amazingly don't find anything. I don't know about your state, but here in the Midwest trail cameras abound and our local Bigfoot's are notoriously camera shy.

Bigfoot hunters are geniuses. They get paid to travel to cool places and have unsuccessful hunts.
If I saw what I believed to be a bigfoot while hunting, I would assume it was an idiot in a gorilla suit wanting to commit suicide by deer hunter and would not oblige him.

A few years ago my mom called to tell me the "Finding Bigfoot" film crew was in town (Prudenville,MI) to investigate Bigfoot sightings behind the house.
I had to, of course, watch that episode! Anyways, they had a townhall with witnesses describing their sightings, yada, yada.
As a kid I tramped all over those woods. I trapped, snowmobiled and hunted deer, squirrels, grouse, woodcock- all of it. I've dropped a fly in every trout stream around for 50 miles.
If there was a Bigfoot in Roscommon County, MI, I'd know about it. And, yes, if I were to see one, I'm shootin' it .
By the way, ain't no Bigfoots (or is it Bigfeet?) in Kansas neither.
Probably not, because my first thought would be that it was some guys trying to make a Bigfoot video. By the time I realized he was real,he would be gone.

Since there are so many dumbazzes in monkey suits trying to make a buck/run a scam, I'd have to have some pretty serious proof that it was one before I'd consider shooting one. If I was absolutely sure, I'd drop him right there, and wait for a check.............
While it's true that all liberals are crazy people, not all crazy people are liberals.
If you'd shoot and wait for a check keep in mind that those who say they'd give $$$ for a bigfoot dead or alive are probably just running their mouth knowing they'll never have to pony up.
Not a problem. Something like that would have the phone ringing off the hook. National Enquirer, museums, Dennis Rodman, take your pick.................

No. Used to think I'd shoot, but as recently as yesterday, in Walmart, I saw some females of his kind, couldn't have been anything else. He has my sympathy. I'd disappear in the woods, too.
It’s illegal to kill Bigfoot here. After the Patterson film a county in southern Washington (Skamania) outlawed killing a squatch in 1969 and over the years I believe that the state made it a crime.
I’d arm wrestle a squatch and the loser goes with the winner for 6 months. I’m 0-1 because he cheated and they have a very nice community. Their days are spent throwing rocks, building nests and generally fawking with hippie hikers.

That there is funny. And sadly true.

This would be my thinking as well. I might be tempted to crank a round over his head to see if I could get him to Shat his suit.

I don't think the whole state is off limits for shooting BF. I know about Skamania Co and I think maybe some other county or counties, but I don't think there is a state law.
No way I would even attempt to shoot him with an 06. The 6.5 Creedmore is the ONLY caliber capable of taking Bigfoot or anything else for that matter....... so it seems !!!!!!!!!!

sure, but would deserve to go down via something glorious like 340 Wby, not a common 'gay' .270 which I don't think meets the minimum energy requirement for BF.
chances are it would be a difficult angle running shot...

I would try. I once read a story about a hunter in British Columbia who shot a Sasquatch with a .45-90 and never found it. So I don't know how hard they are to put down.

doqn here in my neck of the woods, if that beast was found roaming deer lands, he'd be shot on sight just like a feral, free running dogs.
when the picture is made of him with the rope around his neck being dragged out the woods, the 1 million dollar picture, please make him look presentable, like place his tongue back in his mouth.

You sound like an older friend of mine. If it's cold or wet he doesn't go hunting, if it's going to be a long drag he rarely shoots....he always says "I just ain't as mad at 'em as I used to be"

He'd still get shot in my part of PA.

I would first try to get some *clear* video. I mean, what a way to establish bigfoot is for real...
The video(s) would make you enough money, you may consider keeping him around. You know any girls at work that would...ahem....like to try acting?
I got one one time. Brought him home and put him in the freezer. Started making phone calls around, you know to universities and news stations and the like to see if they wanted to buy it. Got home from work the next day and my house had been broken into. Sure enough big foot was stolen out of the freezer. I wasn't as mad about that, but they took my Martian I had in there too!
Would you like to just keep explaining the problem or do you want the solution?

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Wildlife officials have not decided whether any citations or warnings will be issued after a 14-year-old mistakenly shot a protected elk. Abby Wilson, 14, shot the elk on Saturday in Boone County, thinking it was a large white-tailed buck. Her father, Donald White, immediately called the Conservation Department upon realizing his daughter's mistake. "There is no elk season in Missouri, so free ranging elk are protected," said Tom Strother, an MDC Protection Regional Supervisor. "It is a Wildlife Code violation to shoot a free ranging elk as there are no provisions that outline a hunting season like there is for white-tailed deer."
