Happy Thanksgiving all!

I'm looking at a new hunting rifle for next season and these days one of my main criteria in selection has become a rifle's suitability for being suppressed. I'm curious if anyone here has a SA extreme weather (or sporter model, I think the contour is the same) and is willing to measure the barrel O.D. at the muzzle as well as at 18" and 20"? I'm sure there is enough metal there for 1/2x28 threads but would like to see if 9/16x24 threads would be an option. Thanks yall!

300 WSM EW:

24" - .600"
22" - .620"
20" - .640"
18" - .665"

A 22" EW barrel will have the same dimensions at 22" and below. Same barrel, just cut shorter.

Remember, the fluting on the EW's stops 1 - 3/16" from the muzzle, so at 20" and 18" you'll be into the fluting.

*PS, not sure about T-Bone's measurements, all I can say for mine was I made sure not to take the measurement in the flutes where the measurements were smaller. Also, I did round down to whole measurements. Muzzle was actually .602, 22" was .622", etc...

Thank you fellas, great info and I appreciate you taking the time to do that for me! Also, Brad, thank you for the heads up on the length of the flutes, I had not taken that into consideration.
