I got a call a bit ago, an old friend was asking if I knew anyone who would be interested in a pistol. I asked him what he had and he described a stainless Speed Six. I asked him how much he was asking and he said $350.
I asked him how he came to have the pistol, he said his mother gave it to him, it was his fathers from work. He's not a gun guy so he really doesn't know what he's talking about. I asked him how long the barrel was, he just said "Kind of short".
Well, I happen to know his father was a postal inspector way back in the 70's and 80's. I have to think this may be a Speed Six GS-PS with a 3 inch barrel. He's a friend so I'm not going to dicker with him. If it is not a GS-PS with a 3 inch barrel but is as clean as he says I will give him the full $350 he's asking for. If it is a GS-PS then I'll boost it to $400.
The older I become the more I am convinced that the voice of honor in a man's heart is the voice of GOD.

That's a steal at either price. Last USPS Speed Six I saw at the big Tulsu Show was $1000. And clean 2.75" Speed Six in Stainless bring 500 to 600. They didn't make any with a 3" barrel. They were 2.75" or there about.
The only 3" Rugers in .38 & .357 were the SP-101 Models.
