Deer season opens in Ohio and Pennsylvania this coming Monday. I won't be back home prowling the hills and hollers of Pa, but many will. Good luck to all the hunters heading out for the Pa. deer opener. My best wishes to all of you for a safe and successful hunt. May the wind be in your face, the sun at your bag, your aim true, and your drag short.

Good luck guys.

Thank you. Any day I get to spend in the mountains of northern PA is already a success.

Heading northbound on 95 tomorrow am, hope to have a spot picked out by Sunday eve. My first time as a non-res since I was in the military, feels different, though still have that excitement. Hunting with a different gang this time than I usually do, hoping for the best. Best of luck to all, the most wonderful time of the year!

Good country, grew up in Northern columbia county. Have spent lots of time in Sullivan county. Worlds End, Hunters Lake, Loyalsock, all beautiful country. The camps in Elk Grove, Central and other areas near SGL 13 and 57 arent what they used to be, but enough to make it fun. Think those areas see more hunters in bear season anymore to be honest.

My dad always hunted SGL 13 out of Elk Grove. I hunted with my inlaws out of Hillsgrove but I did take my PA Bear in SGL 13.

Yep, Hemlock Run, Bloody Run, lots of hunting lore up there. Have seen some monster deer come out of 13, just not many deer the last few years. More often than not, Ive seen the biggest ones in bear season, they seem to disappear after Thanksgiving.

I'll be in Schuylkill if I don't get a buck in Sullivan. So probably Wednesday.

Thank you gophergunner. Jefferson and Indiana counties. Mostly the Dayton / Smicksburg area. Good luck all. Be safe and successful.
