I have a large, tall and old pole shed and the poles need to be replaced or shored up. The condition from ground level up is good, below not so good. Tips and techniques for repair/replacement most welcome. Thank you

We have dug beside, and set a good post, then bolted the old pole, and post together.
My grandfather ran a concrete footing all around a cedar pole barn years ago. One thing, replacing the poles would be a tough job.

Putting new pole beside the rotted pole with bolts is the best way. Putting new pole on each side be even better.
