59.0 gr H4831 under a 130 gr bullet is a good load. If you don't like compressing powder, the same charge weight of Norma MRP will work nicely.

There's a monster thread in the reloading section, but I can't seem to find it.

The "gay" 270W should have a sticky in the Reloading section. If it is not there then why? It is a popular round...

For the 140gr try H4831 first, or H4350 next. There's no data for RL26 and the 140 gr bullets, only for 150 grainers.

Nobody reads sticky's when there are 12 of them at the top of a page.

First two links.

I've never shot a 140 grain in my 270. Aside from a few experimentations years ago, I have always used 60.0 grains of H4831 and a 130 grain Sierra bullet. It always worked for me.

Where is this reloading section of which you speak? I can't seem to find it.

The 140 is a good compromise weight in the 270, which makes it an ideal weight for deer and elk IMO.

Been using the Hornady 140 grain BTSP Interlock for decades and 55-56 grains of IMR 4831 is my standard load, running 3000 fps. Using a CCI 200 primer I haven't had any ignition problems with this combo although one may want a Mag primer...just in case.

Using 54-55 grains of IMR 4350; 58-59 grains of H 4831; 56-57 grains of RL22, or IMR 7828 will all put you in the same vicinity.

130gr Partition over 60 grains of H4831sc. 3100 out of a 22" M70 Fwt. Extremely accurate, also. And yes, this is one full grain above Nosler's book max-use with caution.
