I'm using 52 great TAC under a 200gr RN. getting quite the show... What's an appropriate powder with say, only a basketball sized fireball?

I've tried TAC and Varget in my 358 Win but can't say that Varget is any less flashy, but it shoots well with 225 gr. bullets. I'm going to try H4895 next, again with a 225 gr. pill.

Never had any noticeable flash with 4064, 4320, or 4895.

I use IMR 4320, can't say that I've noticed any flash.

The 4895s have been kind flash-wise with 200s and up for me. I like A2015 with 250s and don't recall it being a bright powder either, but can't say I remember shooting it in dim light.

I'm another 4064 user. Good velocity, excellent accuracy and I nor my shooting partner, have noticed any flash. The couple of axis I shot with it didn't seem to notice any either.

Like the other guys, 3031 and 4064.
Works good in shorter barreled .308, .358 and 338 RCM

Loaded one for a friend for a while... older gentleman...
we used RL 7 in it, with 200 grain bullets... older data..
fired at night or twilight... it didn't have much of a fireball out of it..
we tried H 335 ( against my recommendation)... that'll give you quite the light show..

IMR-4064 and 4895 and H-4895 here in 9 X 57 & 9.3 X 57. Fairly close to the .358 and I never noticed a fireball.
